KEYNOTE PRESENTATION.
Pr. Chance is a U.S. Navy veteran, Author of 13 books, and Lifestyle Strategist. After enjoying a successful naval career, he transitioned from the military to civilian life and pursued a rewarding career in humanitarian relief. His service to the needy has now taken him to over 26 countries on 6 continents. He is the Founder of Strategic Secrets, the Co-Founder of 7th Seal Missions Resources, and serves on the board of various Non-Profit organizations. He's also a graduate of Central Texas College, Columbia College, Andrew Jackson University, Amazing Facts College of Evangelism, and American Graduate University.
Chance and his B.M.W (Beautiful Marvelous Wife), Rhonitta, enjoy bringing physical and spiritual relief to thousands of suffering and underserved people - both in the U.S. and around the world. They have conducted outreach campaigns in some of the most neglected and at-risk cities in America and in countries such as Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia, Liberia, Suriname, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ghana - transforming the lives of thousands of families as a result.
The Chances are passionate about inspiring faith in others, learning, and teaching. On the home front, he enjoys soccer, tennis, writing, and spending both quality and quantity time with his family. Together, they travel frequently and lead very productive lives in Texas.
Pastor Deyvy Rodriguez obtained a Theology degree from Southwestern Adventist University and a Business degree from Andrews University, with an emphasis in financial stewardship. He served at 3ABN for 4 years before working for the Texas Conference Planned Giving and Trust Services. He and his wife enjoy country living and raising chickens.
Dr. Marleen Brown, MD is an Internal Medicine Specialist in Mission, Texas and has over 34 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from the University of The West Indies Faculty of Medical Sciences Jamaica in 1987. Dr. Brown completed her residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center and is now affiliated with Mission Regional Medical Center. She's also very actively engaged in community outreach and various departments in her local church, where her husband, Encile Brown, Ph.D serves as pastor.
Pastor Elton DeMoraes, DMin., serves as Vice President of the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, DeMoraes completed a bachelor’s degree in theology at Centro Universitário Adventista de São Paulo in 1997. His first pastoral appointment in the United States was in Texas. Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English, DeMoraes has pastored multilingual congregations in Houston and East Texas.
In 2010, he joined the Texas Conference as Director for Church Planting and Stewardship. In May of 2011, he became the conference’s Evangelism, Church Planting and Ministerial Director, and in December of 2015, he also became the conference’s Executive Secretary. DeMoraes completed a Master of Divinity in 2005 from Andrews Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry, also from Andrews, in 2015. He and his wife, Alessandra, have one daughter, Isabella, and reside in Burleson, Texas.
Lavenda Tuionetoa is the Executive Director at Caring for Angels, Inc., and a former chair of the Music Department at Wisconsin Academy and Valley Grande Academy (VGA). She has a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry and is highly skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Lesson Planning, Music Education, Research, and Tutoring. Mrs. Tuionetoa also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) focused in Vocal Performance from Southwestern Adventist University. Her husband, Michael, is the senior pastor of the Fil-Am International SDA Church and are parents of three daughters, twins Claudia and Josephine, and Nola.
Dr. Elizabeth Viera Talbot, Ph.D., is the Speaker/Director for the Jesus 101 Biblical Institute, a media ministry of the North American Division of SDA, designed to offer in-depth Christ- centered biblical studies resources. Elizabeth is regularly featured on TV channels, radio stations and social media venues around the world. Elizabeth has authored several books, including the 2020 Daily Devotional, “Jesus Wins!” The Jesus 101 website (www.Jesus101.tv) and smart phone application (Jesus 101) offer many bible study resources, including daily devotionals, biblical studies, videos, podcasts, audio books, and more.
Elizabeth was born in Argentina to the home of Adventist missionaries. Since her early childhood her parents instilled in her the love of Jesus and she always envisioned preaching and teaching as she gathered her dolls as an audience. After completing her Bachelors in music education, Elizabeth went on to work in the business world for many years. She earned a Master’s degree in Organizational Behavior at that time. She was invited to become a full-time pastor, which she gladly accepted as a call from God. She earned a Master’s degree in Biblical studies and subsequent Ph.D. She was also an adjunct Biblical Studies Professor and has enjoyed evangelism in many forms and innovative venues, and now leads the Jesus 101 media ministry. Elizabeth’s main identity is her passion about the good news of Jesus Christ: “It’s like fire in my bones” she says, and she means it!
