Personal Ministries Department endeavors to inspire, motivate, equip, train, and mobilize all church members for dynamic Christian service with the conviction that “The church of Christ is organized for service” (The Ministry of Healing, p. 148) and “Every son and daughter of God is called to be a missionary; we are called to the service of God and our fellow men” (Ibid., p. 395).

THE MISSION, OBJECTIVES, METHODS, AND ACTIVITIES OF PERSONAL MINISTRIES

Our Mission is to provide resources and to train church members to unite their efforts with ministers and church officers in proclaiming the Everlasting Gospel of salvation in Christ. The goal of PM is to enlist each member in active service for the winning of souls for God.

Personal Ministries (PM) Department is a facet of the church whose origin can be traced to the beginning of Seventh-day Adventist® history in the 1860s. We are a combination of Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department which encompass outreach and evangelism.

Our Objective is rooted in the reason for being established in the first place --- as an important agent for soul winning within the church. Our primary function is to teach and to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in response to the command of Jesus in the context of the Three Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14:6-12.

Seeking to fulfill this mission the PM department continues to communicate the good news of salvation with the objective of winning, maintaining and preparing men, women, young people, boys and girls, in our territory to meet Jesus, and to design programs and resources to help the church in the fulfillment of the its mission and vision. Let us help you to accomplish your personal ministry.

Historically, PM specialized in certain methods of soul winning, although the department is not limited in any way to just these Methods and Activities:

  • House to house evangelism
  • Distribution of literature
  • Bible studies
  • Organization and development of programs with/for the community service of the church, including the Dorcas Society
  • Organization and development of the annual ingathering campaign
  • Operating the correspondence Bible school
  • Cooperating with the Sabbath School Department in the organization and running of the Sabbath school classes
  • Cooperating with the local church pastor in the organization, administration and promotion of the small group ministries.

OUR DIVINE MANDATE

Jesus Himself gave us our original assignment when He said, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). This command is reemphasized for God’s remnant church as follows:

  • “The church must realize its obligation to carry the gospel of present truth to every creature.”—Christian Service, p. 111.
  • “Wherever a church is established, all the members should engage actively in missionary work. They should visit every family in the neighborhood, and know their spiritual condition.”—Ibid., p. 12.
  • “God expects personal service from everyone to whom He has entrusted a knowledge of the truth for this time. Not all can go as missionaries to foreign lands, but all can be home missionaries in their families and neighborhoods.”—Ibid., p. 9.

Discover the undiluted truth of the Three Angels Messages of Revelation that counteracts that counterfeit. Be not deceived but be ready today to stand when Jesus Christ returns.

What does Jesus' death on the cross mean in my life and how do I accept Jesus into my life?

When you accept Christ’s death, as a gift, you become a child of God. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). “To all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God” (John 1: 12 RSV). If you would like to receive Christ into your life right now, follow these simple steps:

  • Recognize you must die. “The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23).
  • Realize you cannot save yourself. “Without Me (God) you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
  • Repent and confess to God that you are a sinner. “All have sinned…” (Romans 3:23).
  • Believe Jesus died for your sins. “For God so loved the world that He gave…” (John 3:16).
  • Believe that Jesus forgives you of sin. “If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)
  • Believe that you have eternal life. “He who believes in Me has everlasting life” (John 6:47).
Do you also go on mission tirps or support global missions?

Yes. That's part of our discipleship strategy and the heart of the Great Commission. We partner with several organizations, ministries, and Churches/conferences to do mission trips, training, medical missionary work, evangelism, and church planting.
